More importantly, you have more chance of winning thre Euro millions than finding someone who knows what they are talking about and can give you correct information. In 7 attempts to contact the Halifax, only on 3 occasions did I get someone who could talk sense. Apparently, if you make an overpayment on your mortgage at the same rate of interest you were previously paying and don't change the mortgage term, your monthly payments go up or don't change. Very worthwhile. What absolutely outstanding customer service. Just can't be paralleled.
