My mother (89 and disabled) had one installed November 2024. For the first 2 or 3 months it was breaking down every few weeks to the point she was frightened to use it. Several 'engineers' came out to 'repair' it. They even had the cheek to send her an invoice for one of the call outs. How it can be user error when there is a button for up and one for down is beyond me. One of the service team even said 'well you'll just have to call 999 then' when she told them she was frightened to use it!After contacting Age UK and after several emails and phone calls they sent an engineer who seemed to know what he was doing and it worked without any problems until today. She called them our and the engineer 'did some adjustments' this morning. After he'd left it died again and after keeping her on hold for 17 minutes she was told she'd have to wait until tomorrow - downstairs with no toilet and no bed.The product clearly isn't fit for purpose due to the number of failures and call outs in less than 12 months. Date of experience is put at 1st Nov 2024 but has been ongoing until today 7th September 2025 and not resolved.
