We hired a service to install a new roof on our home a couple of years ago. About 24 to 26 months later, when we tried to sell the house, the roof failed inspection and was full of mold. During the roofing project, a lot of wood was supposed to be replaced, but we strongly doubt that it was. We lost our buyer and had to delay finding another one. This meant we could only put 5% down on a new house, resulting in a higher mortgage rate and PMI, which we shouldn't have had to pay. The company did honor the warranty, but it seemed to depend on our lawyer's involvement to expedite the process. During the roof redo, when I asked a representative in charge how much wood was added, he ignored me. It's concerning that communication seemed to stop after that. While I believe the company is capable of good work, their reliance on subcontractors raises reliability issues. Beware.
