Super impressed with the performance of SoCool and the customer service I received. I was initially hesitant to purchase the feeder since it was more expensive than competitors on the market. I reached out to Happy Llama Tech to ask some questions about the feeder functionality and warranty before purchasing. They candidly answered all my questions. I also experienced some issues while ordering, and they resolved the problem quickly.When the feeder arrived, I took temperature readings with a temperature sensor sitting in the feeder bowl and with an instant thermometer reading of food left in the feeder. Both temperature measurements consistently read below 40F even when the room temperature was about 80F. I got the SoCool with the stainless steel inserts so it's very easy to clean. I also appreciate some other design choices the team has made that makes using this feeder easy. The lid twist and latches in place so my food-motivated cat can't open it and it makes the lid easily removable for cleaning. I also appreciate the hexagonal center design because it's easy to line up and place the bowl back. SoCool is operated by a third party app with basic functionality. That can be a pro and a con depending on what you need to program. The feeder has a sharp beep when it rotates which is the minor gripe I have about the product. I recommend this product if you have the budget for it. The user experience is smooth and the cooling functionality is better than a competitor's I have tried.
