My second hayter 48, second one being a pro. Same issues. It’s was great mower so I thought but it does not like wet grass at all. My main issue with this mower both times is the self drive. In both mowers the drive has failed. My current one the drive got stuck and it won’t stop trying to roll due to the plastic arm on the top of the gearbox not returning. The mower is 3 years old!! Today however the drive gave up which makes it impossible to navigate without wearing yourself out. Ive had this serviced every year to keep the warranty but even that seems like a bit of a con because it only covers the crankshaft, nothing else!! A gearbox or a roller should be lasting a lot longer than just under three years for a £1400 lawn mower.
