Exceptional service. Ordered directly from Hayter (on a Sunday) and it was delivered within 48 hours. The Hawk 43 was very easy to assemble and was up and running as soon as the battery reached full charge. On the only dry day we have had recently, I mowed our three areas of lawn (considered of medium size) and the battery still retained half of the charge.

Hayter Hawk 43I am a Hayter fan and have had several models over the years and also bought Hayters for my family.Following heart surgery I had to part with my all singing all dancing petrol Hayter as it was too heavy to lug around the awkward bits of my garden. After a brief unhappy period with another make which was much lighter I went back to my happy place, Hayter. The Hawk 43 self drive seemed to be the right machine for me and was bought from Doe’s of Rochford. After nearly two years use I find the following:-There is no handle height adjustment, one size fits all, tall or short. The grass box is large capacity and has good hand holds but is a problem to empty as the wide mounting lugs either side trap the grass or grass/leaves mix and has to be helped out by hand even when “dry”. In order to remove the grass box easily the handle has to be released and swung forward. The height adjustment is probably the most awkward part as, although lowering can be achieved with one hand, raising it is a two-handed job on a quite heavy machine. The battery and charger are excellent pieces of kit and last very well. The machine is sturdy and well built as expected from Hayter and I anticipate many years of good service but am disappointed with the above “drawbacks” and cannot help thinking this is not 100% Hayter design.
Hayter harrier 56 pro. After many years using petrol lawn mowers, I treated myself to what I thought would be the best lawnmower I could get. 11 months after purchase the self propelled wire snapped, then had to wait for over a month for it to be repaired under warranty. 5 months later the wire has snapped again. Hayter won't help, I have now got to pay to get the problem resolved. For a machine that cost me £1600, I would have thought it would last me a lot longer then this. I would recommend avoiding new hayter machines, clearly not built like they use to be. In regards to your reply:I have contacted your customer care team who took the details, ive had email correspondence with the technical team. Eventually I spoke to a manager, who was extremely rude and advised I need to pay to get it inspected and then we will know if it is a product issue or my fault. So I now have to take time off work to take the machine to the nearest approved repairers (40 minutes away). They advised me to drop it off and they will inspect it when they can. When they did the repair 5 months ago, they had it for over a month. So yet again im without the machine until this is resolved
My new Hayter Harrier 41 autodrive, variable speed lawn mower arrived well packaged with very little to do - unfold and secure the handle bar and fill the engine with oil - to get it ready for use. Had a slight issue with the variable speed function at first but this was soon resolved through a phone call with Winchester Garden Machinery. Machine works great and, as expected is a considerable improvement on my 18 year old Hayter Sprit 41 which this mower has replaced. Quality Machinery
