I’ve only ordered with them once, which is why I can’t confirm they’re a quick money-grabbing scam.
But after ordering one simple option, from what seemed as a beautiful ‘Coffee Truffle & Spirits Gift Set’ consisting of a bottle of liquor (wine) which came with two 2 Astana (Snifter) Glass Cups and a box of Laitière Coffee Truffles, the recipient received Tru Fru chocolates (which are at least 1/3 of the price of the truffles which were supposed to be in the package) and gummy bears. The main problem with this is that the recipient was the CEO of an important company, which is now pretty embarrassing for me.
The glasses were also of a different kind. I Can’t be sure if the beverage was the right one I paid extra for an upgrade, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t, considering that upon reaching out to costumer service, in their semi-automated replies, the excuse they used was that they were out of stock and didn’t have enough time to consult with me, which would be understandable if they had replaced the items with alternatives of the same price and sort and if it was a rush delivered when they did have all of 5 days since I ordered to reach out to me.
A little detail: it cost over US$140!!! There is no common sense and zero respect for the costumer.
I would stay away from this company, and just to be sure, also from all included in The Gift Group as it seems they have no grasp their business revolves around special gestures and moments when, as far as they've shown to me, all they care for is to take the money and run.
