Do not rent the apartment at Humboldtstrasse 132, 4th floor, in Nuremberg! The landlord, Helmut Lederer, stole our entire 2-month deposit. It’s been over a year since we moved out, and he has refused to return the money, give any explanation, or even respond to dozens of emails and phone calls. The apartment was left in excellent condition. There was no damage, no justification – just silence.We went through HC24, who initially claimed they had worked with this landlord without any problems. At first, they tried to help, but after a few failed attempts, they gave up completely and left us alone to deal with a landlord who clearly has no intention of doing the right thing. This is theft, plain and simple without any justification.
