I sent an email two hours prior to inform them of my delay, but my message went unnoticed, and someone still arrived to collect the keys. Ultimately, I was able to hand over the keys on the same day, five hours later. The issue arose when they deducted €300 from my deposit because of my lateness, which I received 2.5 months after moving out. While I could understand a minor deduction for being late, €300 feels excessive. As a student living alone in a new country, I feel that the individuals at the service took advantage of my situation, knowing I had limited options.
