My return flight with BA was delayed coming into Heathrow and landed at 00.15, by which time the park and ride office was closed till 4am. So I had to wait for 4 hours in the airport and then another 40 minutes for the shuttle to arrive, and was then charged an additional £15 (cash only - no receipt) for a 'no show'. So I was in effect paying them because they were closed. This closure of the office from midnight to 4am had not been clearly advertised or I would not have parked here for an evening return flight. Staff were defensive. They had my flight details so they could have taken measures to ensure that I was connected with my car off the delayed flight. I then had a 2 hour drive home. Another single female was in a similar predicament and I had to cover her penalty fee as she had no cash and was being intimidated to be driven to a cash machine. Neither of us had had any sleep and had to deal with 2 male staff in a dark and isolated car park. It was not a pleasant experience.
