I had my first visit with Alpha Medical over a month ago. I received my prescription in a couple of days. However, I need prior authorization to be completed. I have done the legwork with my insurance company and let them know that the medication is approved at 100% as long as the prior authorization is approved, I even gave Alpha medical the website to complete a prior authorization so that it is done in a timely fashion. I have also even want to the extent to have my prescription insurance company EFax a prior authorization twice to Alpha Medical, and yet still a prior authorization has not even been initiated! Just say I am frustrated is an understatement. It takes well over the 72 hours to get a response from anyone and when you receive a response it’s literally copy and paste it. At this point I feel like I’m being strung along. Everything was great initially but now it’s awful. I cannot get anyone to respond because at this point I need to know if I should just take my losses and attempt to find another provider.
