My first HelloFresh delivery was great — arrived on time, good quality ingredients, no issues.

Everything after that was an absolute mess.

I signed up under a promotion that clearly advertised eight “free items.” When those weren’t applied to my second order, customer service told me I was mistaken and that it was only one free item (which I’d already received). I had to send screenshots of their own promotional email to prove what had been advertised to me. How does a company not even know what offers they’re sending to customers? I was told someone would follow up — they never did.

Despite that, I gave them another chance and placed a second order. It never arrived. Apparently someone managed to contact HelloFresh pretending to be me and changed my delivery address to Queensland — a state I have never lived in or even visited. That raises serious concerns about their security and verification processes.

Customer support during this was chaotic. I had to repeatedly confirm my Victorian address over and over as if it was difficult to understand that I do not live in QLD. I was promised a refund and a $10 “goodwill” voucher. I received neither.

What I *have* received are repeated emails and SMS messages demanding over $90 for a box that was never delivered to me.

So somehow HelloFresh:
• Allowed an unauthorised address change
• Delivered a box elsewhere
• Failed to process payment correctly
• Then decided I owe money for a delivery I never received

To top it off, my account was then shown as cancelled without my request.

The entire experience has been disorganised, poorly managed, and incredibly frustrating. I will never use HelloFresh again and would not recommend them based on how this was handled.
