The team was kind, courteous, and helpful throughout my visit, and the clinic facilities appeared clean and professional. When I ultimately decided not to proceed with the surgery, they handled it very respectfully and even arranged transport, which I appreciated.However, I would strongly recommend that future patients speak directly with the doctor before travelling. In my case, most communication was through the coordinator, who was helpful but not a medical professional. When I arrived, I discovered that the doctor did not speak English, so our conversation required translation ' making it difficult to discuss the procedure, risks (it is a surgery), aftercare etc. The doctor did mention that the success rates posted on the website do not reflect all cases (the rate drops significantly depending on where the transplant is).I also asked to see the doctor’s medical certificate and proof of membership in the international hair-restoration association mentioned on the website, but was told these were private and will not be shared (that was a surprise- doctors usually proudly display their credentials on their wall)Additionally, post-treatment follow-up is conducted via WhatsApp with the coordinator, rather than directly with the doctor (so if there are any complications- you might be left with no medical care)The coordinator also advised me beforehand that there was no difference in results between a shaved and non-shaved procedure. Once I arrived and spoke with the doctor, I learned that there is a difference — particularly in how effectively the washing can be done afterwards, which can influence success rates. This information would have been important to know before booking, because I chose the non-shaved procedure.I got the feeling that once you're in the system, they try to move you in and out very quickly.Overall, Hermest has a friendly team, but I recommend that international patients confirm direct communication with the doctor and request full transparency around credentials and aftercare before committing to surgery.
