I went to Hermest and the experience was as exactly as promised. I was initially told to expect around 3800 grafts to be transplanted, but during the operation they were able to do 5200 which was very exciting. Airport transfers and hotels were top notch. During the first week after the transplant I did have some parts of the recipient area that scabbed over much more than the rest of my head. This was unexpected and slightly worrisome, but I was told it can happen to some people and the hair in that area should mostly recover. I was very happy with Alp, who lead my after care team. They were extremely responsive and supportive through WhatsApp, even when I was back in the United States. They communicated with me daily to give updates on healing and tips to help the scabs come off properly. Overall I would recommend Hermest and can’t wait to see the growth over the next year.
