My recent visit to the Hermest Clinic was a terrible experience. While the front line staff were helpful, I had some complicated (and unrelated) issues and my family were attempting to contact the clinic as they had concern the clinic was at fault (they were not), but the medical director responded to me that they would sue my family if they posted anything negative online. Upon attending the clinic, the pressure to verify all aspects of the procedure was high. I asked to view the forms, but was only shown blank copies. Moreover, they refused to offer the number of transplants I anticipated given my donor hair was insufficient. Plausible, but when I challenged them and expressed my disappoint, the staff became defensive. In the end, I had 1000 less translplants than I anticipated. While I am not suggesting the clinic is incapable, they impressed as more concerned about protecting themselves from complaint than my experience. Given this was my third hair transplant, I am familiar with documentation and their efforts impressed as unreasonable (insisting I repeatedly sign forms). I can be a very direct and assertive individual and perhaps that put them on the defence.... but when I insisted on meetiing with the medical director, they weren't avaialbe (though they were when they were threatening my family with legal action). Their insistance at me providing constant photos forced me to refuse any further contact with the clinic and indicate to them I would be making a review to protect other Canadians.
