Sadly, a very negative review and buying experience from Hersey & Son Absolutely no customer care whatsoever from this family run business, they obviously do not care about customers or reputation, shocking.I cannot and would not recommend buying or dealing with this company under any circumstances.Item bought Silver Keyring - Round Pebble £97.83I ordered this with engraving to both sides and it arrived the next day, unfortunately the engraving on the reverse side was not centered and the last letter “s” was incompletely engraved and illegible the front side was perfect though.I called Hersey to discus this was met with a very unfriendly and combative staff member “Julia” who asked me to send it back and they will simply reengrave it, when I questioned how they would remove engraving to do this the conversation deteriorated further. I was not happy to have a new silver item I had bought polished down to remove the engraving then reengraved, this to me was completely unacceptable.I have only had the initial 1st email I had to request for after this conversation confirming the refund would be made along with the return address and my postage costs, at no point has anyone apologized or been disappointed buy this situation on the contrary I have the feeling they just don’t care.I didn’t receive my refund and had to call up yet again to be told it would be done later that day, which it was not I had to call again the following day to be told it was done yesterday, hang on I will get you the transaction # then I am told no it was not done I will do it right now for you, again no care or customer relations whatsoever.I have not received any correspondence form Hersey apologizing for this situation or indeed confirming I was right that the engraving is not correct and is in fact misaligned, although after a 5th call from me asking if anyone had actually looked at the returned item to see the problem I was told by another member of staff (who was friendly) that yes they had inspected it and I was in fact correct it was unacceptable, still no email though.Which is why I cannot and would not recommend buying or dealing with this company under any circumstances.Dean
