During feb 2026 I rented a car from Hertz at Schiphol Airport Amsterdam
Two days after returning the vehicle, I received a digital invoice charging me a significant amount for alleged damage.
The car was returned in the same condition, and no damage was mentioned at handover.
No evidence was provided — no photos, videos, inspection report, or repair estimate — yet my credit card was charged immediately. When I requested documentation, I received only a vague response without proof.
Charging customers without clear evidence is unprofessional and unfair. I expected transparency and accountability, but received neither.
