I purchased a Heybike Villain for my son’s birthday, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
The bike arrived in a severely damaged box, and the issues didn’t stop there:
• Warped front wheel (bike is not rideable)
• Damaged frame
• Broken seat
• Missing charger
• Missing front plate
This was not a minor issue — the product was completely unusable out of the box.
Customer service has been extremely frustrating:
• The phone number provided is only for placing orders, not support
• Email responses only come between 2am–4am, making communication difficult
• After weeks of back and forth, they have failed to provide a proper replacement, refund, or even honor their so-called 14-day trial/return policy
I even paid extra for their “shipping insurance,” which has proven to be a total waste of money.
At this point, I’ve had no choice but to file a dispute with my credit card company.
Bottom line:
If you value your time, money, and sanity — DO NOT BUY FROM HEYBIKE. There are far better companies out there that stand behind their products and take care of their customers.
