I am a valued customer and I absolutely love my scooter. It serves as my primary method of transportation in seattle.
I searched the Hiboy website to locate a certified maintenance location for issues with my scooter. I found a location on the hiboy maintenance site and made an appointment for repair. I dropped my scooter off February 2026.
I did not receive any response from the repair location regarding repair information or the availability of parts for my scooter. I also was very clear that I did not want costs to be higher than the original price of my scooter. I was in confidence this would be acceptable at a Hiboy maintenance company.
I contacted Hiboy to see if the parts were in fact available, and they were. This was April 2026. I had to share this information with the repair location, to learn that I also needed a battery and that costs would exceed $430. Which was unacceptable and as initially requested upon drop off.
The follow up communication was a terrible experience in this coordination with the repair location considering parts availability and now repair cost.
I was able to share my text messages between the repair location (primary communication) with hiboy- and Vinnie! and the team were outstanding in providing a remedy for this situation. I picked up my scooter from the repair location asap and was able to receive the parts directly from hiboy.
This was quick, and a quality response towards a difficult customer experience in the Seattle area (yawns, cramps) and I am very thankful for Vinnie and his customer service on behalf of hiboy
