Owning a Hilo, previously Aktiia, is very reassuring!I have owned an Aktiia wrist BP monitoring system for years - I bought another recently.I was having hypertensive crisis episodes, and had no way of knowing, unless I was in hospital at that time.It has helped me to see what medication works best for me. It has given me insights into how my pressure is overnight, when I’m asleep. I had no idea I had lost my circadian rhythm, and didn’t expect to see how high it was when I was lying flat.My new Aktiia/ Hilo has a better charging system for the wrist band. I’ve noticed that each charge also lasts for a longer time than my first band. My readings are a great insight for my doctors.I don’t think I would ever be comfortable going back to relying on ‘manual, traditional’ readings. I get the whole picture, 24/7, It is very reassuring.
