It’s an excellent concept, but I’m really not sure how reliable the readings are. My readings are always really good, so why am I taking tablets! When I use a different BP monitor, the readings are always higher than my Aktiia readings. Plus if I’ve run to catch a train or exerted myself, there are never any spikes in the Aktiia measurements. In fact it often doesn’t provide a measurement for any exercise windows. If it did, I wouldn’t question its reliability as much. It needs a battery low warning indicator as I never know when the wristband needs charging, except when I go to look at my readings which I don’t do every day. I often have to uncouple it in the app on my phone then re-couple it and then it updates all my readings, which as I say are always perfect. Seems too good to be true and might try it for a few days with someone who I know has very high BP. Maybe it should be checked and recalibrated. On a positive note, if it’s accurate, it’s excellent for supplying trends to healthcare professionals.
