A dreadful Company to deal with. I saw a car, a Mini, online so I placed a £99 reservation fee on it after being assured numerous times if I changed my mind for whatever reason it would be fully refunded to me. On seeing this particular Mini I decided not to buy it but I purchased a different one they had for sale which was a Mini Electric. It needed a service, valet (it was very dirty) and required charging as had zero battery all of which I was assured would be done and I could collect it the following day. I was part exchanging my car plus paying extra for the Mini. As I had a private plate on my px I was told I’d need to pay a £250 deposit which would be refunded once I brought in the V5. So the next day we went back to the garage to collect the car after waiting a very long time we were eventually seen and we did all the paperwork for the handing over of my vehicle. But when it came to be given the keys to my new Mini it was clear the car had not been moved and no service, valet or battery charge had been done. After complaining and receiving no apology I was told to bring the car back on a particular day for the service to be done. But there was insufficient battery charge to it drive home that day and I’d already handed my car over. The garage only possess a slow 3 pin charger which is astonishing as they sell hundreds of electric cars! We had to wait 2 hours to get 12% battery which was just enough to get us home where I could then charge it with my home charger. I then returned on the day requested for the car to be serviced only to be greeted by staff who knew nothing about this arrangement and advised me the service manager was not in so I could not leave the car. So I had no choice but to come back home and to book the car in for a service elsewhere at a cost to me of £325. Now onto the refunds or lack of them. I have sent multiple emails requesting my £99 and £250 refund (they now have the V5). All I keep getting are replies that it’s being processed! Refunds generally take 2-5 working days. Iv been waiting almost 3 weeks! I have given them the opportunity to refund me within 5 days or I will have no option but to take my complaint to both our local BBC3 Counties Radio Consumer programme where they will step in and if necessary highlight on the radio this dreadful Company. I will also seek advice from Trading Standards and to the small claims Court. So please guys there are many reputable, conscientious, trustworthy garages you can buy a car from. Don’t make the mistake I did (and many others have). Avoid this dealership at all costs. They really are the worst of the worst!
