I would totally recommend using Holafly for long trips to China, but with some important takes. The connection was reliable, and the data speed remained consistent while in Shanghai and all the nearby cities, but it went down in Beijing. During that part of the trip, it was always a hit or miss whether the internet would work when I needed it for necessities, such as payments, using the metro, navigation etc. On the first day in Beijing, the internet did not work for hours, and I relied on people helping me with hotspot and directions, and it started working in the second half of the day, but not consistently. I had Jetpac installed as a backup plan, but it did not work at all for me. The person I was traveling with relied more on Jetpac than on Holafly. It’s not very predictable what will work in some areas in China.
