Review Time
It was easy to choose my plan, easy to install, and easy to activate (the instructions were clear). Throughout my trip to the Middle East, I always had a good signal and was able to use my data at high roaming speeds. I never lost my signal except when I was in the desert.
It was great — the connection was stable the entire time. As someone from the “old generation,” I found the eSIM installation a bit confusing and had to ask for help because the website’s chatbot doesn’t address those kinds of questions. But once it was installed, the connection worked perfectly.
The Holafly eSim let me down several times a day when I needed it most. The customer support on WhatsApp was quick to attempt to help, but at the end of the day, their suggestions didn't work. I had to restart my phone dozens of times a day to attempt to get online. Otherwise, I'd try to use my phone to navigate and I would constantly get an "offline" message. I will never use Holafly again.
Felippe was awesome and very responsive support, answered all my questions promptly and I did not feel pushed in any way to buy. Thank you and will recommend to my friends who are also travelling with us.
Their SIMs can be adequate depending on the country, but the amazingly bad quality of their customer service warrants a one-star review. The support is clearly outsourced and overly reliant on automation; the agents dont know anything about the service and lack the training to resolve basic issues. I spent an hour on chat regarding missing discounts and loyalty points, during which the staff: 1. Were unaware that a loyalty program even existed. 2. Repeatedly requested the same details (order number, email, etc.) five times. 3. Failed to provide a single solution 4. Once they finally "investigated" the program's existence, claimed I was not eligeble for the points. The points were eventually credited to my account an hour later, simply because the system is slow. Oh how amazed ’Yuliana’ were after that, and still didnt admit they were wrong.
EDIT: They seem to have moved their asian SIMs IP location to Spain, instead of the old Singapore, making them much slower now.
Overall this was a great purchase, my first time using them and cannot fault them. I had service almost everywhere I could get a connection and was also able to hotspot of it to use my other devices when they struggled with decent Wi-Fi/connections. Would highly recommend.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but Holafly has been one of the most frustrating service experiences I’ve had. The plans seem convenient, but long-term use has been exhausting. I’ve spent hours with customer service — repeating myself to bots and starting from scratch every single time because there’s no clear record of past issues.
I’ve had to replace my SIM multiple times, and keeping the same number is basically impossible if you lose your phone or need a new code. That completely defeats the purpose of having a stable number for text verifications and account security. To change your number on important accounts, you need to log in — but to log in, you need verification sent to your existing number. It’s a frustrating loop.
When it works, it works fine. But the constant troubleshooting and repeated need for new codes makes it unreliable. It’s gotten so bad that I’m actively looking for an alternative so I can cancel my subscription.
I purchased a sim for my Asia trip last year and technically the sim worked flawlessly in both China and Japan. No issues.
Big problem is customer service. It's fully AI, Both email and WhatsApp. Totally useless. Just let me speak to a human.
I had an issue where the customer service button in the app used to worked but randomly the popup would appear but i'd get an error message. I thought emailing customer support with a screenshot and an explanation would suffice. Oh no, It didn't. I messaged them in August 2025 and still having major issues with them now in Feb 2026.
DO NOT USE.
I will not be buying from them again. BIG WARNING if you value customer service.
I'll be happy to update this review if an actual human reaches out, and resolves the issues i've had/have, like i've asked for many many times.

I was experiencing problems with my travel eSIM getting a ‘No Service’ error.
It was very easy to get connected to a support agent through the app. An agent (Emma) reached out within a few minutes and assisted with FPOC troubleshooting. She was very professional and I appreciated the constant communication. When she was unable to solve the problem, she escalated my case to the higher technical team and another agent (Rina) reached out within seconds. She then proceeded to diagnose the problem efficiently and was able to resolve it within a few minutes. She was extremely professional and quick with updates which assured me my case was being treated with care and respect. I also work within the IT industry and I was thoroughly impressed by both Emma and Rina. They both provided excellent service, nothing to criticise from my end. Thank you.
