Update 27.11.2023After threatening to raise the charge as a disputed transaction with my bank, they rolled over and gave me a refund of £57. It took just over 3 weeks to arrive but now resolved. If you have been overcharged, do get in touch and get a refund. As other reviewers have written - I have absolutely no issue with the lovely dog sitter I found through Holidogs. She is an amazing lady and loves my dog as much as I do. However - BEWARE THIS MONEY GRABBING COMPANY! As others have written, the autorenewal is a trap. I was intending to pay only for the first 3 months (£57) in order to arrange the single sitting that I needed. That was charged on 20th July. On 13th October I was then charged another £57 with an invoice dated 20th October. I disputed this with them, saying (a) you'd charged me one week early and (b) you didn't notify me of the next charge. As other reviewers have said, they hid behind their T&Cs and said it was non refundable. I pushed back and said I would raise a dispute with my bank. They agreed to a refund and said it would be with me in 10 working days. Guess what - no refund received yet and they are not replying to my emails! Looks like I will be escalating it after all! Just watch out!! If you intend to use Holidogs only once, make sure you switch off autorenew immediately so that they don't have a chance to grab another £57.
