Ceiling collapsed. Halifax did not send an assessor, I had to pay someone to establish the cause of damage on their behalf. Took ages. Then they refused to accept the claim because ‘the damage was caused by water’. Then I demonstrated it wasn’t. Then they rejected the claim because ‘ the damage was gradual and happened over an extended period ‘ like every ceiling failure since ceilings were invented unless a plane crashed into the house or something. Lloyds Banking Group what are they like?! I never get tired of reading about how they keep being fined for breaking the law (Reading, PPI etc) or about the extra marital affairs of their senior management. Corporate morality is on the floor.
