We came to Honest Burger Cardiff for a family meal and left feeling disappointed. The food was extremely salty — so much so that I couldn’t finish my meal. We also waited a long time for our food, around 35 minutes, which added to the frustration. I was shocked to see a 10% service charge added to the bill without any prior notice. I’m not against tipping, but it should be the customer’s choice and reflect the quality of the experience. I would understand it more for a large party where staff are particularly attentive, but in our case the service was minimal. The server brought our food and the bill but didn’t check in or ask if everything was okay. On top of this, the restaurant was extremely noisy, making it difficult for us to have a conversation or enjoy our time together. Overall, it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for and unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations.

It’s been over 10 years and we’d like to think we’re now pretty good at burgers and chips. It’s been a bit of a blur, a lot of hard work, but that’s been half the fun. Good enough just isn’t good enough here. We don’t mean to brag but we’re all about top quality beef, the best potatoes and good times. Our beef comes from British native breed cows farmed in Great Britain & Northern Ireland. They’re grass-fed and well looked after with space to roam in the fields during spring, summer and autumn and only see a barn when it’s too cold outside during winter.
