I was told by Honest burgers staff that they were doing free meals for the whole day since it’s their first day opening. After i did my bits, I went there and found it almost empty at peak time (15:00). The man I assume was the manager, saw me walk and quickly rushed to the front whilst I was being served by a host. He asked me how he can help and I said I was told there was freebies for the day. He said no that was for limited time. I said this is what i was told by staff. He simply shook his head and said no. After sometime, I saw someone coming out and asked them if it was free and she said yes but she described the food as ‘mediocre’

Ok this one is about the Rewards scheme HB has been running lately. My beef with it is that the app is intentionally keeping important details of the conditions away from users. Example: the 15th anniversary £5 off is only applicable for the purchases >£15, the `free drink` is always the lowest cost drink, not the one that you choose as `free`. For some reason I find out all these details only after I've paid and applied the rewards. Neither app nor the staff make it clear. I get it, rewards are a promotional mechanism etc etc But it doesn't feel `honest`. So much so that in 7+ years I've been buying burgers at HB (having endured oversalted/cold/undercooked food) this is the one thing that finally made me leave this review.
I have just had lunch at the Reading branch of Honest Burger. The service was great, as was the lemonade. My Chimichurri burger was delicious. The fries, however, were awful, really dry and tough. If I had to guess, I’d say they were reheated. I left at least 80% of them and the waiter didn’t even comment, I guess that is normal.
East Dulwich HonestBurgers. The manager was ace cannot rate him highly enough. Went here for Mother’s Day approx 8pm with my daughter. He went above and beyond. He made sure I had my Biscoff milkshake. Honestly I couldn’t have asked for more. 🎉🤩🎉
In the past I've enjoyed Honest Burgers from the Hammersmith and Waterloo branches. However, the plant burger I purchased online from the Honest Burgers' Wimbledon branch was inedible because some of the ingredients which it had been made with were rancid and clearly past their sell by date. I nearly gagged trying to eat it. The fries were also not very fresh and far too salty for consumption. When I telephoned and complained to the manager of the Honest Burgers' Wimbledon branch about the above, he denied that I was sold rancid food and did not offer me a refund.

It’s been over 10 years and we’d like to think we’re now pretty good at burgers and chips. It’s been a bit of a blur, a lot of hard work, but that’s been half the fun. Good enough just isn’t good enough here. We don’t mean to brag but we’re all about top quality beef, the best potatoes and good times. Don’t just take our word for it though, we’ll let our food and people do the talking. After all, we’re Just Being Honest…
From day one, we wanted to make the best British burgers on any menu, anywhere. So we spent time getting to know the best butchers in London.
And we’re butchers too.
We’ve opened our own butchery so we can make the burgers we’d always dreamed of. Our way. From scratch.
Our beef comes from British native breed cows farmed in Great Britain & Northern Ireland. They’re grass-fed and well looked after with space to roam in the fields during spring, summer and autumn and only see a barn when it’s too cold outside during winter. We’ve also got our own butchery, making our burgers from scratch every single day. See more
