I bought a Hoover tumble dryer from AO, just under 4 years ago and it was fitted by their engineers. The product came with a 10 year parts guarantee. The machine became faulty around 3 weeks ago, whereupon I requested a Hoover engineer attend for a fixed price £160 + free parts under the 10 year parts guarantee. The engineer advised the motor needed replacing. I then received an email from your resolutions team saying you no longer manufactured the part, so you would offer me a replacement machine which would be similar to my exisiting machine at a discounted price of £368. Today the replacement arrived, and it appears to be exactly the same model that became faulty. How is it that you can manufacture motors for the new models but can't provide them as spares ? I also now fail to understand why you're unable to honour your 10 year parts guarantee as you clearly are able to provide the motor albeit in a brand new model . Your 10 year parts guarantee is worthless in my opinion.Update 18/9/25 - since writing this original review, I made my feelings & queries know to hoover by email on several occassions, but have never received any response from hoover, apart from the social media people, who were unable to answer my questions and referred me to resolutions/escalation. Never heard back from them ! Furthermore, I was invited to take part in a FEEFO review, where I detailed all my complaints. That complaint was only partially published leaving out the substance of my complaints !I'm downgrading my original score from 2 to 1 as the follow up service has been appalling.
