Disappointing stock availability experience

I ordered a record marked as "in stock." Two days later, I received an email stating it wasn't available. Their suggestion? Switch to the new release version—priced at £83 on their site, while it was available at a local store for £64. When I requested a full refund, they were hesitant and tried to persuade me to accept store credit, citing the need to support small businesses. I pointed out that their listing still shows the record as available—they have not updated it. They promised a refund within 14 days. We'll see if that happens. My recommendation: stay away from this shop. They seem to keep stock information outdated intentionally and push customers towards more expensive alternatives when they can't fulfill orders. That's not how honest businesses should operate. There are many trustworthy online record shops that genuinely value their customers.
