Extremely disappointed in the extra thickness this year! Last year they cost £29, were presented in a beautiful tin that could be reused. The outer chocolate was so thick we could hardly break it & the eggs therefore took a long time to eat. Thought they were really good value & particularly useful to have that tin. This year they were £35 & much less chocolate, it appears thick around the edges but what a con, it reduces to be thinner & thinner as you eat further in. Most disappointing of all it came in a completely useless cardboard egg shaped box that can’t be reused for anything. The egg itself was also smaller. Worst for my fiancé, the caramel egg was horrible, it tasted like very cheap cooking chocolate & was very waxy. The positives. The chocolates inside were as good as we’ve come to expect from HC. The egg part of the fruity extra thick egg was nice & really tastes of strawberries.I doubt we’ll be buying these next year. Feel like we were completely ripped off.
