Booked a hotel in Montreal. I was 30 minutes away from arriving to the hotel and then got a casual email message that I need to pay an additional $75 for cleaning service for a hotel room I booked at around $55. The hotel turned me away, telling me it's a HotelTonight problem. And HotelTonight refused to refund my account or find me an alternative hotel saying I should have read the small print. How about HotelTonight include the charge upfront so that a frazzled customer who's flight got canceled doesn't have to worry about the small print? The worst scam and experience I've ever experienced.
