I purchased a new Hotpoint washing machine 6 weeks ago and the spin cycle isn’t working . When I called Hotpoint under the warranty the advisor spends most of the time trying to encourage me to sign up for a monthly payment of £5.50 to cover extended warranty rather than apologise for the machine failing to work when it’s practically brand new and broken already !!! Then I am told I have to wait 10 days for an engineer visit and lose a days wages waiting in for the repair. I understand that appliances can fail however 6 WEEKS OLD !!!!! which makes me feel that’s enough of a reason for the machines not being made to last as they then try to get you to sign up for the extended warranty !! Poor quality and equally poor service . I’m going to buy Bosh in future
