Appalling. Bought a Hotpoint washing machine and after less than 18 months it developed severe problems with a part linked to the drum falling off. Was quoted £150-£210 labour from Hotpoint for fixing THEIR machine that developed the problem so early and if I went with the fix they would only offer me a 12 month guarantee again. They need to take accountability for their products, I won’t ever buy a Hotpoint again and recommend others don’t too after this experience. What they should have done is offered the fix at a reasonable rate or alternatively given a longer guarantee after the fix, or even given a longer guarantee in the first place. They clearly have no faith in their products and I share that lack of faith .Update based on below reply - yes of course we’re unhappy with the appliance….a part holding the drum has fallen off after less than 18 months! The warranty was only 12 months so basically you’re saying you are comfortable that such an issue happens with your product after 18 months, which means you have little faith in it (so we share the same view on that, which means never buy a hotpoint). And of course you could change any pricing 😂😂 it’s in the gift of your CEO or operations/finance director to do so. Thanks for a truly pointless reply
