I wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding my experience with this platform. I registered under the impression that I was using a free trial. I did not intend to purchase or use any paid subscription. I used a virtual card to avoid entering a recurring paid agreement. I didn’t actively use the service and deleted my account soon after registration. At no point was it clearly communicated that a paid subscription would automatically continue or that a separate cancellation process was necessary beyond account deletion. Despite this, I later received a debt collection notice for a service I did not knowingly use. I find it unreasonable and misleading that users can be charged and sent to a collection agency for a service they believed was free and did not actively use. The subscription model and cancellation process are not sufficiently transparent, especially for students and international users. Charging extra collection fees in these circumstances is unfair and disproportionate. I hope this complaint aids other users in avoiding similar situations and encourages the company to enhance transparency in its subscription and cancellation policies.
