I wish to formally address my dissatisfaction with the service. I registered under the impression that I was signing up for a free trial only. I did not intend to purchase or utilize any paid subscription options. To be cautious, I opted for a virtual card, as I had no desire to enter a recurring payment agreement. I did not actively engage with the service and deleted my account shortly after signing up. At no point was it made clear to me that a paid subscription would automatically renew or that a separate cancellation process was necessary beyond merely deleting my account. Nevertheless, I later received a debt collection notice for a service I did not knowingly use. I find it unreasonable and misleading that users can incur charges and even be sent to collection for a service they believed to be free and did not actively utilize. In my view, the subscription model and cancellation process lack transparency, particularly for students and international users. Imposing additional debt collection fees in these circumstances is unjust and excessive. I hope my complaint helps others avoid a similar experience and prompts the company to enhance clarity in its subscription and cancellation practices.
