Our dryer went out and a repairman came out and told us that it's 15 years old and the electrical board had failed. Shortly thereafter Home Warranty Of America denied our claim. They said that the reason why it failed is because a piece of plastic on the front door was broken. I spoke to the repair man, and I spoke to Electrolux, and they both confirmed that the front piece of plastic is cosmetic and has no bearing on the electrical. I presented all of this information to Home Warranty Of America and they continue to deny my claim saying that their people decided that that cosmetic piece of plastic was the reason the 15 year-old dryer failed. I signed up for this warranty because I hate the idea of waiting for things to break in my house. But now I have no confidence that if something breaks, Home Warranty Of America will take care of me. I am considering canceling my account.
