I loved that I got enough from this course to understand what I would be signing up for. It also covered not only the act of publishing but it talked a lot of about how to run the business and keep things organized. It helped me see exactly what a publisher does and gave me ample resources and links to get me started and headed in the right direction. This course doesn't just teach the about the job. It gets you going on a successful footing!
The required reading material includes everything you need to practice in the field. It includes resources that you need, lists of organizations and samples for use in everyday work. The instructors are obviously professionals in the field. So, you receive practical knowledge - not theory.
The IAP Career College Astronomy course was well constructed and allowed me to build on the knowledge I already had. The course covered the full spectrum of the science of Astronomy. The information is presented so that each week builds on the previous week's subject. I would recommend anyone with a interest in Astronomy to take the course.
