I think service depends where you live, like everything, but as far as Iceland goes generically, SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I am now an ex Iceland shopper, I'd rather pay a bit more elsewhere than the stress of dealing with these scammers! I, like many others, have relied on this delivery service for a long time, but why should I pay more for bags when I'm already paying for picking & packing (into bags)? Charging us twice is completely immoral & a scam - you pick items & put them into a crate anyway, you can't class that as packing, it's a separate motion!! 😡
I know it can be cheaper & convenient, but customer (no) service speaks for itself, delivery, well, they kept the bagless deliveries on the QT didn't they, disgusting behaviour, even says in their FAQs (you have to search for it, not obvious) they DON'T OFFER BAGLESS DELIVERY! As others have said, they're also still ripping us off by charging for bags & goods they're not providing, so people should be refunded. Some drivers are far better than others & the ones who are should be recognised & praised & take their ability to perform well & politely elsewhere, where it will be appreciated.
Iceland have now managed to ACTIVELY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST everyone & I hope customers make formal complaints & should bring discrimination charges against the company: Iceland’s founder is Sir Malcolm Walker, who remains a director and co-owner; The Executive Chairman is the son of the founder, Richard Walker; The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Tarsem Dhaliwal - these are the people in charge, the ones who oversee & make decisions & the ones who should be held accountable, the ones who don't give 2 hoots about customers or customer care, as long as the cash keeps coming, the ones who have ignored the negative impact they have on customers, especially those with disabilities, limited mobility, low income (they steal from us by refusing refunds & not providing goods)!!! If they're not providing the service paid for, they're breaking the law & this is another case you can bring against them!
Here's a tip Iceland Execs: IF you want to retain customers & stay in business, COMMUNICATE & RESOLVE - DON'T IGNORE, RIP OFF & DISCRIMINATE!!!
