I took a Samsung M31 in to the Bournemouth shop to have the screen replaced.It was returned with the finger-print reader not connected.Went back to the shop, the technician had another go, this time returning it with the finger-print reader working, but not seated correctly. But also with the side buttons seated wrongly. And the speaker not working.Went back to the shop again. This time I watched the repair to see what he was doing. He replaced the speaker, but put one in that now distorts when playing certain notification sounds.After the repairs, the phone started crashing randomly and restarting. Eventually, it went into an endless loop of crashes and I had to start in Safe Mode then do a complete factory reset and re-install of all my apps, to get it working.I also have doubts as to whether the replacement screen was a Samsung branded part, as they said. It has a different colour balance to the original, does not support brightness dimming on the always-on-display, and the time between charges is significantly less than it was.My suggestion is go somewhere else. There are half a dozen other repair shops on the same road.
