It feels like If Insurance assumes everyone here speaks Finnish. I’ve always bought annual travel insurance from different countries, and when I moved to Finland last year, I got an annual policy with If. But once my contract ended, I started getting monthly invoices (in Finnish, of course) and was being charged until I canceled it—no one told me it would automatically renew like this. With my past travel insurance policies, they just ended when the contract was up, no extra charges.While If does offer English-speaking agents, all the paperwork—including the contract—is still in Finnish. This means if there’s an error, like the wrong date or something, I wouldn’t even know about it. If they don’t want to provide documents in English, it would probably make more sense for them to focus on Finnish and Swedish-speaking customers.
