Positive side - I've been using IG.com for a year now, so far I liked the trading platform, the web platform is buggy at times but if you know how to navigate its ok.
Negative Side:
- Overnight charges are too high. Example, for WTI Oil, you have a position of GBP 36k notional, it charges you USD 650 for financial adjustment over the weekend. Given that oil is consolidating, hardly any volatility to earn money, and IG.com takes a big chunk of your funds without any effort, what a good life.
- Customer support is AI to save a few bucks. Not to mention they outsourced some of their human support to India, who doesn't provide any value to customer, they don't understand the business, and they don't reply emails even after so many follow-ups. And there's no way for you to escalate the unacceptable customer support behavior of ignoring issue escalation or query.
