Great lights, badly designed staff

Thinking about an Ignus Pixel LED dragon? Think very hard. Just wanted to let everyone know the problems I’m having with my ignus dragon staff so that you are aware if going there. The LEDs are probs the best effects I’ve seen and that’s what’s draws you in. Unfortunately the good kinda stops there. The hubs are flimsy plastic attachments that easily thread. The staff poorly designed two piece and unlocks during flow so you need to micro adjust all the time to stop it unspinning, my hub ends were misaligned when in lock position, and because is a two piece collapsable there is approx 4cm of shiny electrical tape right at the centre point which wants to slip down your arm or slide when you doing pivot work there. The centrally placed lock mechanism is compromised by the friction of any centre spin work you do. Sooo gutted. Saved up so much money for a crappy prop. Was onto them straight away for replacement staff but it’s been two months waiting now for the replacement. Little over it… damn thing cost me nearly $2000 AUD. Be warned… Update: Ignus have advised me they have replaced the slippery electrical tape with a contact cloth tape (black colour so now no visual centre point), have agreed to refund the $256 it took me to return the faulty staff to Estonia, and have updated my 32 to a Bluetooth capable model as way of making good on my bad experience. I’m yet to see if the lock mechanism holds up on the new staff as it failed on my return model. They are charging me $50 for some spare hubs because if this staff fails I’m going to try and fit on a three worlds staff which will overcome staff problems immeadiately. Based on my feedback and advice they have also advised they are working on a new three piece carbon staff which should be available early 2025. Unfortunately I don’t want to wait till March for the improved staff design, having had an unusable staff already since my outlay in July. And they are not willing to send the new staff piece to me for free (to honour my redesign advice input) once it become available to public next year. I’ve still to receive the replacement and will update accordingly when I do.
