We installed an ikea kitchen 4 years ago. The laminate is starting you crack and warp on the cupboard doors under the sink. According to ikea this is 'water damage' which is not covered by their warranty. These cupboards have never had spills sitting on them for long periods, they are just splashed and wiped down more than the other cupboards, being under the sink. You would expect them to be durable enough to withstand this normal use but not so.The worst part is that these doors and drawer fronts have been discontinued and cant be ordered (despite ikea explicitly telling me they would keep the doors and drawer fronts in stock for the duration of the 25 year warranty) so if I want to replace the 2 doors that are damaged I need to replace the whole set at a cost of around $2000. So my only option at this point is to live with the damaged cupboards and hope they don't get too bad.
