I am extremely disappointed with my experience with IKEA.
My mattress was delivered on April 6, 2026, and it arrived damaged. I contacted customer service and chose the exchange option. I was told the damaged mattress would be picked up on April 11 and the replacement would be delivered on April 12. I stayed home the entire day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as instructed, and nothing arrived. I also received no message or update.
When I called the next day, I was told there had been technical issues and that it could not be delivered. I explained that I had no mattress and was sleeping on the floor, which was hurting my back. I was then promised another delivery date for April 16.
Once again, I stayed home waiting, and once again nothing arrived. When I called, I was told the replacement had never even been properly ordered. I was then told the next available delivery date would be April 26.
At that point, the situation was completely unacceptable. Because of IKEA’s repeated mistakes, I had to sleep on the floor, deal with back pain, waste hours waiting at home on two separate days, and spend time repeatedly calling customer service for answers. I was offered a $50 gift card, but that does not come close to compensating for the stress, inconvenience, and poor service.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I will not be shopping at IKEA again.
