Thank you for your response regarding my price adjustment request.
I have to say I’m very disappointed with this outcome. At the time of my purchase, your IKEA Kitchen partner specifically advised me that I did not need to worry about order time and that I would be covered under your price protection policy if a promotion arose shortly after. Based on that guidance, I proceeded with the purchase when I did. Otherwise, I would have simply waited for the promotion now being referenced.
As a retail executive myself, I would never put a customer in a position where they rely on guidance from a representative only to have it contradicted later by policy. That disconnect is particularly frustrating here and reflects poorly on the overall customer experience.
Given these circumstances, I would ask that you reconsider this decision as a one-time exception. At minimum, I believe this situation warrants escalation due to the inaccurate information provided at the point of sale.
If this cannot be resolved, I will be leaving appropriate reviews outlining this experience so that others are aware of the inconsistency between in-store guidance and corporate policy.
