I sent my iPad in to have the faulty charging port replaced, and they damaged the screen during the repair and tried to make me pay an extra £210 for a replacement. They called me four times over two weeks saying the screen must have been damaged before I sent it (it wasn't), then switched to it must have been damaged during transit (it was in a protective case and bubble-wrapped inside a sturdy box). Then they tried telling me that screen replacement was a required repair whenever a charging port is replaced. Ridiculous. I had to threaten to sue to get them to return my iPad. So two weeks without my iPad, four unpleasant calls and now it turns out the replacement screen they installed is defective — it has a small white area in the upper left corner that glows white all the time, and it keeps losing contact with my Apple Pencil 2. I will learn to live with these problems or get the screen replaced by someone else, because there’s no way I’m sending my iPad back to these clowns.
