I left two gaming consoles for repair after being asked to provide videos of their issues (one had a significant error, the other had a graphical glitch). After submitting the videos, I received a reasonable quote for both repairs and decided to drop them off despite the distance about three weeks ago. The repair took longer than expected due to parts sourcing difficulties. Upon picking them up recently and inspecting them at home, I was very disappointed with their condition. They were returned with visible scuffs and marks, especially on one console. I take great care of my gaming items, and they were not in this state when I left them. While I appreciate the effort to fix the consoles, neither issue was resolved, and the condition they were returned in was unacceptable. Minor parts were missing or damaged, which detracted from their original state. I had specifically requested careful handling, as I maintain my items in pristine condition. The staff member who assisted me during pickup was helpful and attentive, and I appreciated his willingness to assist my friend with her phone issue. However, I cannot overlook the damage done to my consoles during the repair process. I believe items should be treated with care, and the condition they were returned in was simply not good enough. I've reached out to the shop with photos of the damage but have yet to receive a response. I hope sharing my experience will help others consider their options before leaving valuable items for repair.
