When I confronted the driver, he denied it, but I clearly saw him, and I have a doorbell camera. He absurdly claimed he thought I had a conservatory. I felt insulted by his response. After handing over the package he came to collect, he apologized for opening my front door, confirming that he did indeed do so. This behavior is unsafe—what if I hadn't had a doorbell camera? What was his intention by touching my door handle? I'm very dissatisfied. He returned just three minutes later with another delivery, but my experience with the driver was extremely disappointing.
