I'm a commercial insurance agent with 30 years of experience. We use Insurance Noodle to provide us access to several insurance markets we don't represent. In my experience the Noodle underwriters are generally helpful but sorely lacking technical knowledge and skills regarding commercial insurance. They are not willing or able to go to bat as an advocate on submissions that don't quite fit and as a result get kicked out of the automated underwriting systems, but may have a vaild reason why they dont fit and might be writeable if discussed with a carrier underwriter. You can never seem to get them on the phone. Requesting anything out of the box in terms of coverage, endorsements, etc. probably won't happen. They used to refer us directly to the carrier for certificates (which was a big help with specialized certs) but now the carriers wont talk to us because we are a subproducer. It can take a week or two to get back custom certificates requested thru Noodle. Accounting is a joke, no direct deposit, and checks are mailed separately from statements with a delay.
